Lifecycles for you
The chip lifecycles that the training plan for Consultants and expert advisers draws on most. Each one sets out its stages, the gates that check them and the work handed over.
- Product lifecycle →The business lifecycle of a semiconductor product, from the first sign of a market opportunity through concept, definition, development, validation, sampling, qualification, launch, ramp, maturity and decline to end of life and the support that continues after the last shipment. The engineering lifecycles run inside it.13 stages, 31 gates
- SoC and full-chip lifecycle →The whole chip, from its specification through IP integration, full-chip design and verification, tape-out, bring-up and qualification to production and end of life.15 stages, 22 gates
- Quality management system lifecycle (ISO 9001 and IATF 16949) →Building, certifying and running a quality management system to ISO 9001, and to IATF 16949 for automotive production, from context, scope and leadership through gap assessment, process design, implementation, internal audits and management review to certification, problem solving, surveillance and recertification.10 stages, 12 gates
- Automotive SPICE process and assessment lifecycle →How a supplier of automotive electronics, chips, IP or software builds, runs and proves process capability to Automotive SPICE: agreeing the assessment scope and target profile with the customer, a gap assessment against the process reference and assessment model, process definition and an improvement plan, deployment of the processes, tools and training, project execution against the management, support, system, software and hardware engineering processes with the cybersecurity plug-in where it applies, the formal assessment, the capability level outcome and the improvement actions and reassessment that follow.12 stages, 16 gates
- APQP and PPAP lifecycle →Advanced product quality planning for an automotive part, from the customer award and planning through product and process design, validation at rate, the production part approval package and a safe launch to feedback, changes, requalification and the end of production.9 stages, 14 gates
- Automotive and safety-critical lifecycle →A chip for vehicles and other safety-critical systems, developed under ISO 26262 functional safety from safety planning and hazard analysis through safety concepts, safety mechanisms, safety analyses and fault injection to the safety case, then qualified to AEC-Q100, approved for production by the customer, and supplied, changed and monitored in the field for a long vehicle life.13 stages, 18 gates

What the Hub brings
Here is what you can do on the Hub today as someone who sells their own expertise.
Apply to be listed as an expert
Send your credentials, years of experience and domains. An admin reviews every application, and nothing about you is listed until it is approved. If it is turned down, you see the reason.
Offer three kinds of session
Run a free 15-minute intro, a paid technical deep-dive or a multi-week mentorship track. Each has its own description, length and cancellation policy, written by you.
Set your own price and slots
You choose what a paid session costs and which times are open. Clients see your open slots on your profile and book one. You can cancel a slot or a booking from your sessions page.
Sell digital products
Add downloadable products to your profile, such as a guide or a template pack. Buyers pay at checkout and download from your page afterwards. You can switch a product off whenever you like.
Get paid through one payouts page
Set up your payout details once. The page shows your balance, your verification status and your statement history. Set it up before a sale: a sale made before that is not added to your balance afterwards.
Join the freelance talent pool
Opt in with a freelancer profile and companies can find you by discipline and availability. You can switch your listing off at any time. Browsing the pool needs a free account.
Show your basis, not a slogan
Your profile carries an approved-expert marker, and its hover text states the years and domains behind it. Ratings from people who booked you sit on the same page, with their written reviews.
Answer questions on the boards
Boards are where engineers ask real questions. Answer in your area, and your name builds in public, on your own record rather than your employer's.
What changes for you
- Your reputation sits inside a company profile or a private network.
- You chase clients, quote by email and invoice by hand.
- Free intro calls eat your week with no filter.
- Gigs come from whoever already knows you.
- Your expert profile carries your headline, domains, experience and ratings under your own name.
- Clients see your session types, price and open slots, then book and pay in one step.
- A free 15-minute intro is its own session type, with the slots you choose and no others.
- Opt in to the talent pool and companies can find you by discipline and availability.
Approved is not the same as vetted
An admin approves each expert application on the experience you state. There is no separate vetted-adviser listing yet, so the approved marker is not a quality guarantee, and the page says what it is based on.
Choosing this page changes where you start
Picking this view changes your starting links and nothing else. It grants no permission, and nobody is shown who chose it.
You see the money side
Paid sessions run through checkout, and your payouts page shows your balance, your verification status and every statement. Free intros cost you nothing.
