IP Quality Engineer

Project

Work done for a product or program.

• Own the IP quality checklist and gate criteria for each release, mapping every item to evidence produced by the development teams.
• Run automated deliverable completeness and view-consistency checks across GDSII, LEF, Liberty, CDL, Verilog, UPF, ATPG and documentation views.
• Define and monitor IP quality metrics such as lint/CDC cleanliness, coverage closure, corner completeness and documentation currency.
• Audit that reported verification coverage, synthesis results and characterisation corners actually correspond to the released database revision.
• Manage the release blocker and waiver process, ensuring every waiver has a technical justification, owner and expiry.
• Perform root-cause and corrective-action analysis on customer-found defects, driving 8D or equivalent CAPA to closure.
• Prepare and support customer and foundry quality audits, including ISO 9001 and automotive IATF 16949 related evidence requests.

• Execute and audit the TSMC 9000 quality assessment workflow, assembling the scorecard evidence and closing findings with engineering owners.
• Maintain traceability from IP requirements and standard clauses to verification evidence for safety- and security-relevant IP.
