The skills behind every role in the industry.
10,630 skills mapped across the role register, each with a definition, how it is learned and the roles that need it. Figures are counted from the Hub's own records, never typed in.

Roles. The number of roles in the register that need the skill. A skill that no role needs is not published.
Reach. Counted from the same role links: how many value-chain segments those roles sit in, and how many end markets they mainly serve. It changes whenever a role link changes. End markets are counted after mapping the research register's market list onto the Hub's end-market list; that mapping is still under review.
Live demand. The number of live job listings on the Hub whose role needs the skill, counted at the moment the page is shown. It describes the Hub's own listings, not the whole industry, and it is withheld until at least 10 listings count towards it.
What a tool can do. Where the register says how far software can do the work, it says which part a tool can do, which part it cannot, the evidence for both and the date. No skill carries a score, percentage or grade for automation.
The register states its own edges as recorded decisions. Where a question is still open, the register does not yet claim to cover that work.
