• Implement UVM verification IP for protocols such as PCIe, CXL, UCIe, DDR/LPDDR, USB, Ethernet, MIPI, AMBA CHI/AXI, I3C or CAN-XL, covering master, slave and monitor roles.
• Read and decompose the protocol specification clause by clause into a requirements list mapped to checkers, coverage points and compliance tests.
• Implement protocol checkers and error detection covering illegal transitions, timing violations, ordering rules and malformed packets.
• Develop the protocol compliance test suite and coverage model that customers use as evidence of interface correctness.
• Build error injection capability so users can verify how their design responds to protocol violations, link errors and retraining events.
• Implement configurable layered architectures so the same VIP supports multiple specification versions, speed grades and lane configurations.
• Validate the VIP against reference designs and against competing implementations for interoperability confidence.
• Maintain the VIP across specification revisions and errata, releasing updates aligned to standards body publication cycles.
• Write user documentation, integration guides and quickstart examples so users can bring the VIP up in days rather than weeks.
• Triage and resolve customer-reported VIP issues, distinguishing genuine VIP defects from user misconfiguration or genuine DUT bugs.
