• Develop cycle-accurate or transaction-level C/C++ reference models used as the golden checker in scoreboards for complex datapath and algorithmic blocks.
• Build Python-based verification frameworks and cocotb-style environments for blocks where a software-centric flow is faster than UVM.
• Develop internal debug and analysis tooling such as log parsers, transaction viewers, trace comparators and failure-signature extractors.
• Integrate third-party software models — CPU ISS, codec libraries, cryptographic references, DSP kernels — into the simulation environment.
• Apply software engineering discipline to verification code with unit tests, code review, static analysis, profiling and semantic versioning.
• Optimise reference model and DPI performance so that checking does not dominate simulation runtime.
• Build data pipelines that extract simulation and regression results into structured databases for downstream analysis.
• Maintain build systems, dependency management and packaging for the verification codebase across tool and OS versions.
• Support DV engineers in debugging model-versus-RTL mismatches and determine which side is wrong.
