Project

• Chair plenary and interim working group meetings, setting agendas and enforcing the ballot and milestone schedule agreed with the parent committee.
• Author and maintain the project authorisation request (IEEE PAR), scope statement and milestone plan under the sponsoring body's process rules (JEDEC JC-42, MIPI, PCI-SIG, IEEE 802.3, ASA).
• Adjudicate competing technical contributions from member companies and drive consensus on contentious feature sets without stalling the schedule.
• Coordinate liaison relationships with adjacent bodies (JEDEC to SEMI, MIPI to Automotive SerDes Alliance, PCI-SIG to CXL Consortium) to prevent overlapping or forked specifications.
• Recruit and onboard new member-company representatives and appoint specification editors, technical coordinators and ad-hoc study group leads.
• Escalate technical deadlocks to the parent committee chair or board with a written options paper and a recommended path.
• Defend the draft through sponsor ballot and board approval, then steer the amendment, corrigendum and errata pipeline after publication.
• Represent the working group publicly at DesignCon, Hot Chips, MemCon and member plenaries, and brief the press and analyst community on release content.

• Run letter ballots and comment-resolution cycles, tracking every comment to a recorded disposition and keeping quorum and voting-rights records audit-clean.
• Enforce the organisation's patent policy, collecting letters of assurance and RAND declarations and ruling essential-patent and pricing discussion out of technical scope.
