• Own the software release train that maps firmware, drivers, BSP, compiler and SDK milestones onto the silicon schedule.
• Drive pre-silicon software enablement on emulation, FPGA prototypes and virtual platforms so bring-up code exists before first silicon.
• Coordinate the post-silicon software bring-up sequence from boot ROM and initial power-on through full stack validation.
• Manage dependency negotiation between hardware register freeze, documentation delivery and driver development schedules.
• Run the software defect triage cadence and align severity and fix-target decisions with silicon bring-up priorities.
• Track SDK and toolchain deliverables including compiler support, debug tooling, profiling libraries and reference applications.
• Coordinate software qualification, licensing compliance and open-source obligation review before external release.
• Manage customer-facing software release notes, errata documentation and known-issue lists with applications engineering.
• Plan software team capacity across concurrent silicon programs and derivative variants.
• Report software readiness against silicon gates and escalate when software becomes the critical path to sampling.
