• Drive delta-based execution plans that reuse hardened blocks, verification collateral, software and qualification data from the lead product.
• Coordinate metal-only and base-layer change decisions with physical design to minimise mask cost per derivative.
• Manage platform configuration baselines so each derivative traces to an approved and frozen parent version.
• Coordinate derivative-specific qualification scope reduction with quality and reliability using platform read-across evidence.
• Run cost-of-derivative models comparing mask, engineering and qualification spend against forecast revenue.
• Align derivative sampling and production release dates with customer program commitments.
• Drive platform roadmap reviews with product marketing, architecture and the business unit to decide which derivatives get funded.

• Define the derivative roadmap for a silicon platform including feature deltas, process node reuse, package variants and target markets.
• Quantify and defend the reuse percentage for each derivative and challenge every proposed deviation from platform baseline.
• Sequence multiple concurrent derivatives against shared engineering, emulation and validation capacity.
