Embedded Middleware Engineer

Project

• Design and implement middleware components such as file systems, storage abstraction, logging services, configuration stores and IPC frameworks.
• Integrate and tune third-party middleware including LittleFS, FatFs, SQLite, protobuf, MQTT brokers and DDS implementations.
• Define stable internal service APIs and versioning strategy between driver and application layers.
• Implement service lifecycle, dependency and health-monitoring mechanisms for platform daemons.
• Optimise middleware memory, latency and throughput behaviour against platform constraints.
• Ensure thread safety, reentrancy and resource-exhaustion robustness across concurrent clients.
• Provide platform abstraction layers so middleware runs across Linux, RTOS and bare-metal targets.
• Support application teams debugging issues that cross the middleware boundary.

Function

• Instrument middleware with tracing and metrics hooks for downstream diagnostics.
• Maintain licence compliance and software bill of materials for all integrated open-source middleware.
