• Quantify PPA impact of process and device options using standard cell, SRAM and block-level implementation studies.
• Evaluate architecture options such as buried power rail, backside power delivery, CFET and 2.5D/3D stacking for PPAC benefit.
• Run block-level implementation flows on representative designs to convert device deltas into frequency, power and area numbers.
• Model wafer cost and die-cost impact of process options, delivering PPAC (power, performance, area, cost) comparisons.
• Feed design-friendly constraints back to lithography and patterning (edge placement, coloring, unidirectional layout).
• Present node competitiveness assessments and recommendations to technology and business leadership.

Function

Work that keeps the discipline running: methods, tools, suppliers and people.

• Drive design rule and track-height trade-offs (CPP, MMP, fin/nanosheet count, cell height) with process and library teams.
• Build early standard cell and SRAM bitcell prototypes with predictive rule decks and pre-silicon models.
• Coordinate with EDA vendors to enable flows for new architectures ahead of tool general availability.
• Define the DTCO roadmap and metrics that gate node definition decisions.
