Responsibilities

Project

Work done for a product or program.

Operate the submission workflow from application and fee collection through test report review to integrators list publication.
Adjudicate waiver, deviation and exception requests with documented technical rationale and consistent precedent.
Manage the certification database and integrators list, including revocation workflow for products found non-compliant in the field.
Report programme health to the board: submission volume, pass rates, revenue, lab capacity and backlog.
Coordinate with plugfest leads so event results feed certification prerequisites and reduce first-pass submission failures.
Drive revision migration campaigns so the installed base moves to current test suites without stranding members.
Handle escalations and disputes between member companies over certification decisions and competitive claims.

Function

Work that keeps the discipline running: methods, tools, suppliers and people.

Define and publish the certification policy: eligibility, required test suites, revision cut-over dates, grace periods, re-certification triggers and derivative-product rules.
Accredit, audit and periodically re-audit authorised test laboratories against the compliance test specification and ISO/IEC 17025 practice.
Run the trademark and logo licensing programme with legal, including usage guidelines and enforcement against unauthorised use.
