A UN regulation under the UNECE agreement on vehicle type approval. To have a vehicle type approved for cyber security, the vehicle maker must hold a certificate of compliance for its cyber security management system and show, for the vehicle type, that risks have been assessed, mitigated and tested and that attacks can be detected and responded to. Suppliers are drawn in through the vehicle maker's management of supplier risks.
