JEDEC publishes the DDR5 SDRAM standard
JEDEC, the semiconductor industry's standards body, formally published the JESD79-5 DDR5 memory specification, targeting roughly double the bandwidth of DDR4 along with improved power efficiency and on-die error correction. It became the baseline standard for next-generation PC and server memory.
