Qorvo is formed from the merger of RF Micro Devices and TriQuint Semiconductor
RF Micro Devices and TriQuint Semiconductor completed a merger of equals to create Qorvo, combining two established RF chipmakers into a new leader in radio-frequency solutions for mobile and defense markets. The deal united RFMD's North Carolina roots with TriQuint's Oregon-based gallium arsenide expertise.
