An industry association formed to open the GMSL automotive SerDes technology to multiple suppliers through published specifications and interoperability work. Its aim is a second-source ecosystem for high-speed camera and display links in vehicles.

GMSL originated as a Maxim Integrated technology and passed to Analog Devices, which drove the move toward an open association model.
