Coss (Output Capacitance)
The drain-source capacitance of a FET seen at the output, the sum of drain-source and gate-drain capacitance. Its stored energy Eoss is dissipated at hard turn-on and is recovered rather than lost in a zero-voltage-switched topology.

Notes
Superjunction devices have a strongly non-linear Coss that collapses above a few tens of volts, which complicates resonant design.
