FlexRay Consortium (dissolved 2009)
FlexRay is maintained by FlexRay Consortium (dissolved 2009). The current version is FlexRay 3.0.1. The register lists it as superseded. The specification is openly available.
A deterministic, time-triggered in-vehicle network designed for safety-critical, high-bandwidth applications like drive-by-wire and active suspension — faster and more predictable than CAN, but at higher cost and complexity. The FlexRay Consortium dissolved in 2009, and CAN FD plus Automotive Ethernet have displaced it in most new vehicle architectures, though it remains in service on platforms designed while it was current.
