Responsibilities

Project

Work done for a product or program.

Convene member committees and special interest groups, building agendas that reconcile competing member-company priorities into a common position.
Deliver industry events, SEMICON-style expositions, workshops and member forums with programme content and sponsor management.
Develop and retain membership, including value articulation, tiered benefits and renewal campaigns across regions.
Manage programme budgets, sponsorship revenue and vendor contracts and report performance to the association board.
Coordinate across regional chapters and affiliate associations to align global positions with local regulatory realities.
Maintain antitrust and competition-law guardrails in every member forum, including agenda review and meeting minutes discipline.

Function

Work that keeps the discipline running: methods, tools, suppliers and people.

Manage association programme portfolios spanning technology communities, market data services, standards committees, advocacy campaigns and expositions.
Produce industry statistics and data services such as equipment billings, fab forecasts and World Fab Forecast style datasets with contributing-member confidentiality controls.
Coordinate advocacy campaigns with the policy team, mobilising member companies for legislative and regulatory engagement.
Run association standards committees under the association's procedures, including document ballots and technical committee elections.

Typical backgrounds

BS in engineering or BA in business/communications, often with an MBA; 8–18 years across association management, member-company marketing or programme management; regional roles require strong local language and network.
