Performance Engineer (CPU and GPU Libraries)

Project

Work done for a product or program.

• Write and tune kernels in CUDA, HIP, OpenCL or vectorised C++.
• Build performance regression dashboards across silicon revisions.
• Compare against competing silicon and publish normalised results.
• Feed microarchitecture limits back to architects with traces and counters.
• Tune memory access, occupancy and launch overhead in GPU libraries.
• Help customers reproduce and fix slow paths in their code.

Function

Work that keeps the discipline running: methods, tools, suppliers and people.

• Profile workloads on CPU and GPU hardware to locate bottlenecks in libraries and drivers.
