Parasitic Extraction Engineer

• Configure and validate extraction decks and technology files for each process node and metal stack option.
• Run full-chip and block-level RC extraction to generate SPEF, DSPF, and SBPF databases for signoff.
• Correlate rule-based extraction against field-solver reference structures and quantify the accuracy envelope.
• Model advanced-node effects including layer-dependent resistivity, via resistance, and coupling to local interconnect.
• Manage extraction corner definitions such as Cworst, Cbest, RCworst, and RCbest and map them to timing scenarios.
• Optimise extraction runtime and memory footprint for multi-billion-transistor designs on distributed compute.
• Support mixed-signal and inductive extraction flows for sensitive analog, clock, and high-speed IO nets.
• Debug netlist-to-parasitic name mapping issues and hierarchical SPEF stitching problems.
• Publish extraction release notes with known limitations and required downstream tool settings.
• Evaluate new extraction tool versions and drive qualification before methodology adoption.
