• Review schematics and layout for EMC risk including return-path discontinuities, clock spreading, filtering, shielding, cable entry and connector grounding.
• Specify common-mode chokes, ferrites, filter networks, transient suppressors and ESD protection devices at every port and enclosure penetration.
• Run pre-compliance scans in-house using EMI receivers, near-field probes, TEM cells and LISNs to find hotspots before booking chamber time.
• Diagnose failing emissions peaks to a source by spectrum correlation, near-field probing and selective shielding or de-population experiments.
• Manage accredited third-party lab campaigns including sample preparation, configuration, operating mode selection and witness testing.
• Compile the technical construction file, declarations of conformity and CE, UKCA and FCC evidence packages for release.
• Specify chassis, gasket, shielding and cable-shield termination requirements jointly with mechanical engineering.

• Determine the applicable emissions, immunity, ESD and transient standards for each product and market and write the compliance test plan.
• Design and validate immunity robustness against ESD, electrical fast transients, surge, conducted and radiated RF immunity per the applicable IEC standards.
• Maintain the EMC design rulebook and train hardware teams on the design practices that cause most compliance failures.
