EHS Engineer (Chemical & Gas Safety)

• Conduct process hazard analyses and HAZOP reviews for new tools and chemistries entering the fab, covering gas cabinets, VMBs, wet benches, and bulk chemical distribution.
• Manage hazardous production material controls for pyrophoric and toxic gases including silane, arsine, phosphine, diborane, and germane, with gas detection coverage validation.
• Own hydrofluoric acid exposure controls, calcium gluconate response protocols, and emergency drill readiness for wet-etch and cleaning operations.
• Perform industrial hygiene monitoring, exposure assessment, and personal sampling against OSHA PELs and ACGIH TLVs for solvents, metals, and acid mists.
• Review and approve chemical change requests and new material introductions through the chemical approval committee, screening for REACH, RoHS, and restricted-substance issues.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, drive root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions through the site safety management system.
• Manage emergency response planning with the site emergency response team, including gas release scenarios, seismic events, and chemical spill response.
• Deliver and maintain safety training for cleanroom entry, chemical handling, lockout-tagout, confined space, and equipment energy isolation.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification audits, regulatory inspections, and corporate EHS audits with evidence and corrective-action closure.

• Maintain air, wastewater, and hazardous-waste permit compliance including scrubber and abatement performance, fluoride and copper discharge limits, and PFAS reporting.
