Responsibilities

Project

Work done for a product or program.

Screen and maintain a pipeline of acquisition targets mapped against the company's stated capability and market gaps.
Build valuation models including DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction and accretion/dilution analysis.
Coordinate technical, commercial, financial, legal and IP due diligence workstreams during live transactions.
Model synergy cases covering revenue synergies, cost synergies, R&D consolidation and integration cost.
Prepare investment committee and board approval materials with the strategic rationale and transaction economics.
Support negotiation of purchase agreements, earn-outs and retention structures alongside legal and HR.
Assess regulatory and national-security clearance risk including CFIUS, EU merger control and SAMR review timelines.
Hand transactions to integration management with a documented value-capture plan and synergy baseline.
Conduct post-close reviews comparing realised performance against the acquisition business case.

Typical backgrounds

Finance, economics or engineering degree with MBA or CFA; 4–12 years in investment banking, transaction services, private equity or corporate development.
