Looking for career transition into Fab after battery manufacturing

I’m a PhD ChemE, looking to transition over into semi fab from battery separators manufacturing (been in this area for 10y now) There’s a lot of domain similarities- materials characterization, yield and RCA, troubleshooting equipment and processes through gas phase reactions- to name a few. I’ve done fair bit of CVD for my PhD. I’m also getting some hand-on experience on ALD and etch over the course of next few months. My question is- how easy or difficult is it to make a mid-career transition…
