how long did it actually take to get your first chip back?

i'm a software engineer working on my first chip and i'm having a hard time getting a feel for the timeline. say the rtl is mostly done. how long until you actually have silicon in your hands? and what ended up taking way longer than you expected? i'd love to hear how it went for you, especially on a small team. also curious when this was and what node you were using, since i imagine that makes a big difference. submitted by /u/TomasPiaggio [link] [comments]
