The strategy for how the MEMS sensor will be tested and stimulated in characterisation and production: which physical stimuli are applied, at what stages, with what equipment, and which tests use electrical means instead.
Plan Work product in the MEMS and sensors lifecycle
Unlike pure electronics, a MEMS sensor needs a physical stimulus to show it works, and that stimulus is slow and costly in production. Setting the strategy at transducer design release lets the design include self-test features and test structures, and lets calibration and test equipment be planned in time.
