The circuit and layout design database of the memory interface: input and output buffers, clocking, training, calibration and the physical layer control logic.
Design data Work product in the Memory product lifecycle (DRAM, NAND and HBM)
The interface sets the memory's speed grades and its compatibility with host controllers, so its design must be complete and controlled before sign-off. The database is the master from which verification, layout, behavioural and IBIS models are built. Without it, interface versions diverge between teams and speed or compatibility problems reach silicon.
