Equivalence characterisation data

Characterisation data that compares devices made on the larger wafer diameter with devices from the qualified smaller wafer process, parameter by parameter, to show they are equivalent.

Why it exists and what it decides

Customers accept a wafer diameter change only with evidence that devices behave the same. Missing equivalence data forces full requalification, or lets differences slip through and change device behaviour in customer circuits.

Decisions it informs

Whether the larger wafer devices are equivalent to the qualified devices
Whether any parameter difference needs customer notification or datasheet change
Whether the larger wafer equivalence gate can be passed
