1. Purpose of the gate
The first flight lots are screened, pass lot acceptance and ship with their data packs, certificates of conformance and export authorisations.
Flight lot release puts qualified parts into spacecraft. Each lot carries its evidence: screening data, lot acceptance results including radiation lot acceptance where required, a certificate of conformance, and traceability to its wafer and assembly lots.
The gate also confirms the long-term supply commitment, the obsolescence management plan and the counterfeit avoidance plan, and that every shipment passes export checks.
