1. Purpose of the gate
Security release approval decides whether the product may ship from a security point of view: requirements verified or risks accepted, certificates and declarations in place, provisioning running, incident response ready and customers given what they need to integrate it securely.
It is a condition of the SoC and product production release. Once parts ship, residual risks become the product's exposure in the field and the support period becomes an obligation.
