A versioned package design kit, with assembly design rules, models correlated to qualified hardware, libraries, checking decks and reference designs, is released to lead customers for product designs.
Customers commit their products to the rules in the kit. The review checks that the kit tells the truth: every rule traces to qualified hardware or a stated limit, models state where they are valid, decks catch violations, and the kit agrees with the process design kits whose pads and bumps it lands on.
It freezes the kit's scope and the design flows it supports for this version, and records which customers receive it.
