UVM agent
The reusable UVM container for everything needed to verify one interface: a sequencer, a driver, a monitor and usually a coverage collector. An active agent drives the interface; a passive agent only observes, which is how the same code serves block and system level.

The active or passive choice is set through is_active in the configuration database, not by editing the agent.
