Totem pole PFC
A bridgeless PFC topology in which one fast-switching half bridge shapes the current and a second slow leg follows the line polarity. Removing the input diode bridge recovers about one percent efficiency but demands a switch with negligible reverse recovery.

Notes
Known for decades but only practical in continuous conduction mode once GaN and SiC removed the body-diode recovery problem.
