Qg (Total Gate Charge)
The charge that must be delivered to a FET's gate to swing it from off to a specified on-state voltage. It sets both the driver current needed for a given switching speed and the gate drive power, which equals Qg times VGS times frequency.

Notes
Gate charge is more useful than input capacitance for driver sizing because capacitance varies strongly with voltage.
