MEMS gyroscope
An angular rate sensor in which a driven vibrating mass experiences a Coriolis force when the device rotates, deflecting it in a sense axis that is read capacitively.
It measures rotation rate rather than absolute orientation.

Notes
Bias drift over temperature is its defining weakness, which is why gyros are almost always fused with other sensors.
