LPO (Linear Pluggable Optics)
A pluggable optical module that omits the DSP retimer and relies on the host ASIC's SerDes equalisation to drive the optics linearly, saving several watts and some latency per port.

Notes
Its weakness is interoperability, since removing the DSP means host and module must be characterised together.
